After appearing in gum cards, comic strips, radio series and a feature film, Superman finally made his TV debut in 1952 in a syndicated series starring George Reeves.  By the '60's, just about every kid in America wore his costume or collected his cards - who didn't love Superman?  Playing off the Superman craze, National Periodical Publications produced a 66 card set that showcased his incredible adventures.  And from that, we can now offer a high grade, complete wax box of those very same cards from 1966. This high quality box (the perforations on top have not even been broken) contains twenty-four perfect 5¢ packs, each pack containing five cards for 120 cards in all. The display box features a black-and-white image of George Reeves (as Superman) on the box top, along with the set title boldly printed in blue and yellow against the red background. The box comes authenticated and shrink-wrapped by The Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). Except for a few minor touches of shelf wear on the top and bottom, the box presents exactly as it did on store shelves over fifty years ago.  A rare and unique offering, especially of this quality.

Note that this is the extremely rare version of the display box, being slightly shorter in height and with slightly different graphics.  Compare to any other display box you might find online - perhaps a pre-production or early production example?  What we do know is - VERY RARE!
