1888 Sporting Life Magazine Bound Volume consisting of issues Jan 4, 1888 through Dec 26, 1888.  Articles include Anson and Spalding Team Tours of Australia; John Clarkson $10,000 contract signing with Boston; Chadwick's chat recurring column; various minor league reporting (and reports of their demise); and other sport news including boxing, cycling, billiards, and more.  The volume is fragile with edge brittleness and paper loss. Both the back and front covers are unattached and about half of the pages have split half way through the volume.  Condition is poor.  An extremely rare piece of baseball and sports history and only the second bound volume we have seen.
