Scarce Oakland Tribune bound volume from 1919 indicated as "Sport" on spine binding. The volume contains reporting on the 1919 World Series and gives a west coast take on the 1919 fiasco. Included is a Cincinnati wins World Series front page with a team photo. The first game issue is damaged but adds "race riots" to the baseball headlines. The PCL World Series was occurring at the same time and that league shares the headlines with MLB. The volume has many interior tears and the pages are becoming brittle. The spine has considerable wear as well with a 4.5" spine split and missing spine binding at top of volume.
