Nice assortment of photos highlighting a half-dozen sports legends. 1) Jim Thorpe with his young sons; 7.75x9", back has publishers notations and newspaper clip with this photo glued on. 2) Jimmy Foxx at the batting cage; 8x9", paper loss to bottom right corner and some creasing, verso has Chicago Tribune label and newspaper clip with this image glued on. 3) Heinie Zimmerman at bat from late 1910s with New York Giants; bottom left corner is torn off, cut to right corner, 7x9", subject IDd on back in pencil. 4) Zimmerman throwing, 7.5x9.25", nice shot with minimal creasing, photo credit stamp and typewritten caption on verso. 5) Crowd goes wild for Secretariat; 11x7.75" with orange crop mark on top edge, ID on back in blue pencil along with glued newspaper clipping stamped July 1, 1973. 6) Jack Dempsey in a more relaxing milieu than his typical boxing ring, teeing up a ball on the golf links; 7.75x10", back has August 1927 written in pencil, Aug 30, 1927 stamped, and glued image from newspaper clip.
