A high quality set of Bowman Color baseball! Bowman outdid themselves in 1953, producing not only this beautiful color set of 160, but also a black & white set of 64. With large color images of many stars of the day, and no signatures, emblems, etc. to distract you, most collectors easily rank this issue as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, baseball set of all time. Overall the set grades a beautiful 80% NM or better, with most of the cards exhibiting a near fresh gloss that comes with cards that have barely been handled. The only concern is that roughly 25% of the cards are somewhat off-center (mainly the high-numbers) - other than that, a beauty of a set!
