A high-grade offering of Bowman’s ‘Television & Radio Stars of NBC’ nonsport issue from 1952. The set features stars from NBC's TV and radio programs of the early ‘50s, including Bob Hope, Groucho Marx, Martha Raye, Jimmy Durante, and Dinah Shore. A top quality set, with 30 cards grading NM or better and 6 only slightly lesser. Another beauty of a set! - 1953 Topps ‘WHO-Z-AT Star’ complete set of 80. Another high quality non-sport set, this one from Topps, with images of many Hollywood stars of the day. Tough to find in high grade, as cards were grey bordered with any chipping quite evident. Most all the cards are of consistent high quality (80% NM or better), with the only detraction being centering issues on roughly 1/3 of the cards. - 1959 Maple Leaf (Holland) complete playing card set of 52, plus the hard-to-find Joker card. Of the 53 cards, 45 are NM or better, while the remaining 8 have slight paper loss at one or more corners or a crease. A terrific start to collecting the Hollywood star sets of the early 50’s!
