From his final season in the Gateway City comes this 1979 Lou Brock game worn St. Louis Cardinals jersey. Superb home cream-colored pullover bears Rawlings size 40 and "Set 1 1979" tagging inside tail, Cardinals two birds logo across the chest, with the fleet-footed Brock's number "20" on both sleeves and back. His name is stitched in individual letters above the number on back, all in red-on-blue tackle twill. Brock swiped his way into the Hall of Fame with what was an MLB record 938 bases, surpassed since only by Rickey Henderson. This lot is all the more poignant in light of Lou's recent passing.
